The Eva Project, p7, An overview of the project
- Finally the turrets wood areas are primed, but alas in a bright pink, that is not at all in keeping with such an item!
- Then these areas are undercoated in a better grey colour. Note the short straight-section below the side visor cover.
- The lower track brackets in place. I still need to finish the master for the top hinged-bracket and get those cast.
- The top splash-rails in place to protect the mantel joins.
- The bottom splash-rails, and the lower weld joins.
- The turrets roof covered in several layers of fireglass, that is textured to represent the effects of "rolled steel plate".
- Gap for the loaders hatch which I am still working on.
- The completed loaders episcope-cover,and its internal housing.
- Completed cupola, and turret vent "welded" into position.
- Note the "pilzen",small metal tubes,in three locations on the roof.
- Turret vent in position.
- The "close defence weapon" cover in position. Note the slight recesses of the internal bolts around its edge.
- General photo of how the turret currently looks.
- I should have positioned the barrel in place for these shots!
- The Turret in the "Pz.Werkstatt Kp" area of my shed.
